Cost allocation¶

The Versio.io cost allocation solution allows you to account for IT services on a monetary basis. Hardware, software and services can automatically be calculated based on individual pricing models to charge the recipients of a service. With Versio.io, you are able to invoice IT costs efficiently and based on real consumption or usage.

Visualized in a timeline, you can easily track any rating effort per cost unit and billing unit.

Cost allocation consists of different steps: The first step involves mediation, meaning the collection of all changes that are to be included in your cost allocation. Secondly, rating has to be performed, where every individual change collected within the mediation process is priced. Subsequently, the billing process follows in which all rating items are summarized. Costs can be aggregated down to all available costing levels.
